Mike Krissoff grew up on the waters of Anne Arundel County. His yachting journey started with a 12′ wooden rowboat at the age of 7 in Shady Side. He graduated to Lasers, Hobie Cats, log canoes, and a variety of one-design racing sailboats to arrive at his current passion - a custom-built 46′ Chesapeake Bay deadrise.
Cap’n Mike - recently named South River Federation’s Volunteer of the Year, is a 50 Ton US Coast Guard Master. He is the past commodore and 35-year member of Eastport Yacht Club and 20-year member of Annapolis Yacht Club. He has served countless days on race committees with both EYC & AYC.
In his decades on the Bay, Mike has hosted hundreds of days on the water for volunteer and non-profit organizations supporting fundraising and appreciation activities, as well as entertaining bike-riding and fishing friends. Mike and Full Moon have even provided the perfect and unique spot for a wedding. The captain is now retired from a 40-year career in non-profit association management.
